Our sensory gym will help children regardless of ability have fun learning.

Occupational Therapy “Little Skills”

Occupational Therapy can help children of all ages with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.

Speech Therapy “Small Talkers”

Speech and Language Therapy is specifically geared towards speech, language, and communication issues in order to enable children to communicate to the best of their ability.

Social Skills Groups “Little Socials”:

Our social skills groups foster emotional intelligence needed to succeed not only in school but in life. We work on social skill sets according to age to help boost confidence, self-esteem, acceptance, and appropriate interaction skills.

 Physical Therapy

Physical therapists have expertise in movement, motor development, and body function (eg, strength and endurance). Physical therapists can help with positioning during daily routines and activities, adapt toys for play, expand mobility options, and use equipment effectively.

Sensory
Integrative
Approach

This approach helps to facilitate learning and re-learning through motor development, cooordination, motor planning, regulation and integration of sensory information. Using this approach our therapists help children regulate their nervous systems by giving them the tools needed for self-regulation in order for them to attend to their teachers in a classroom environment. SI therapy and instruction helps to overcome sensory processing issues and meet the demands of any situation. Our staff also specializes in Sensory Diets for home and school.

Development Appropriate /Play Based Approach

The primary principle of this approach is to promote participation in age-appropriate activities, such as unstructured hands-on play, group story-time, and themed activities. Kids are encouraged to learn through play, and academic content is incorporated throughout learning tasks.

Emotional
Intelligence
Approach

We are advocates of Dr. Daniel Goleman’s framework for the five key elements of Emotional Intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is an essential component to being a successful leader. EQ contributes to the development of happy and healthy relationships and builds the foundation for living a balanced life. Encouraging children to carry positive attitudes, problem solve stressful situations, and delay gratification to increase resilience and perseverance are key components of our program. Being aware of others, their differences, needs, and feelings prepare children for strong and successful relationships. In addition, our expert staff employ a diverse set of strategies to boost confidence by teaching our children to observe their feelings and practice responding rather than reacting.

ABA Therapy “Little Listeners”

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. Our ABA trained therapists work to increase language and communication skills, improve attention, focus and memory, as well as decrease problem behaviors.

Expressive Art Therapy

Art therapists are dedicated to the belief that making art is healing and life enhancing. Our therapists use art to improve cognition, sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, enhance social skills and cultivate emotional resilience.

Play Therapy

Our play therapists use play as a communication tool to understand a child’s world and help them deal with emotional distress and trauma. We will work with children and their families through difficult life events, issues, and experiences.
