Little Milestones for Small Discoveries
Latrenda Zabaleta, a Jersey City mom and Occupational Therapist, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Stockton University and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University. With 12 years of clinical experience, she specializes in working with children, addressing developmental delays, Autism, ADHD, and more. Trained in various therapies including sensory integration and DIRFloortime®, she is committed to promoting inclusivity among children, driven by the lack of quality foundational services in her community.
Veronika DeLeon-Kahraman, BA
Co-Founder & Director of Operations
Veronika De Leon, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Small Discoveries Preschool, holds a BA in Education from New Jersey City University. Raised in Hudson County, she's dedicated to providing top-tier care, leveraging over 15 years of teaching experience. Veronika's vision led to the center's expansion, now serving over 50 children and employing a local team of a dozen educators. Committed to community and diversity, she champions inclusive growth.

We have created a unique Drop Off Preschool Readinesss Program for children not enrolled in daycare or preschool full time. Our alternative preschool is a 3-hour program that provides children, ages 18 months through 4 years, in which is overseen by one of our team therapists. This program places special emphasis on easing parent/guardian separation, development, peer interaction, and social skills.
